Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents by assisting with activities of daily living
- Support patient mobility and safe transfers, always prioritizing dignity and comfort
- Take and record vital signs accurately to keep the care team informed
- Observe and report changes in patient condition to nursing staff promptly
- Help maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control standards
- Collaborate with the care team to create a warm, respectful atmosphere for residents
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts and providing hands-on patient care
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
- Ability to pass background check and meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Assistance with ADLs (bathing, dressing, toileting, feeding) with compassion
- Basic clinical skills: taking vital signs, documenting observations
- Infection control and safe patient handling techniques
- Familiarity with charting and electronic health records (EHR) preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with a team
