Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist residents with activities of daily living
- Support patient mobility and transfers with safety-first techniques
- Monitor patients closely and report any changes in condition to the nursing team
- Document care and observations accurately and promptly
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for patients and families
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and facility staff to deliver coordinated care
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (or eligible) — Maine certification preferred
- Current CPR/BLS certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Compassionate attitude, strong communication skills, and a team-first mindset
- Prior CNA experience is a plus but enthusiastic, reliable newcomers are welcome
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a state-approved CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Foundational patient care techniques and infection control practices
- Basic vital signs and observation skills with attention to detail
- Clear, respectful communication with patients, families, and team members
- Ability to follow care plans and document in clinical records accurately
- Time management and the ability to prioritize tasks in a busy setting
