Shift Type: Days vary, 2:45 PM - 10:30 PM (Evening/Night shift)
Hours per Week: 39
Candidate Pay Rate: $23 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist residents with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing and mobility
- Provide compassionate, person-centered care that preserves dignity
- Monitor and record vital signs and changes in condition, escalating concerns promptly
- Support nursing team with tasks such as transfers and basic treatments
- Communicate clearly with residents, families and interdisciplinary team members
- Document care accurately and maintain a safe, clean environment
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — required
- Active authorization to work in Maine and ability to pass facility background checks
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused attitude
- Previous experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred but caring attitude is essential
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completed state-approved CNA training program and certification
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of activities of daily living and safe patient handling
- Ability to take and document vital signs accurately
- Infection prevention and basic hygiene practices
- Good observational skills to notice changes in resident condition
- Teamwork and effective communication with nurses and support staff
- Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
