Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient observations accurately
- Assist nursing staff with treatments and follow care plans conscientiously
- Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices
- Communicate changes in resident condition promptly to the care team
- Document care and observations clearly and professionally in resident records
Qualifications
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and basic patient care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with staff and residents
- Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings as required by the facility
- Willingness to follow facility policies and participate in on-the-job orientation
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of basic nursing care and resident rights
- Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Ability to assist safely with transfers and mobility
- Good documentation habits and attention to detail
- Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
