Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate personal care and assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting)
- Monitor and document vital signs and report meaningful changes to the nursing team
- Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to maximize resident comfort and safety
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
- Support mealtime, hydration, and feeding needs with dignity and respect
- Follow infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment
- Communicate clearly and kindly with residents, families, and interdisciplinary team members
Qualifications
- Valid CNA certification (required)
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings helpful but not mandatory
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred
- Ability to pass facility background check and health screening requirements
- Comfortable working the assigned 2:45 PM - 10:30 PM shift
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Fundamentals of resident care and activities of daily living
- Taking and recording vital signs accurately
- Basic documentation and charting practices
- Safe body mechanics and transfer techniques
- Infection control and standard precautions
- Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate bedside manner
