Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide warm, respectful hands-on care to residents and patients, assisting with daily living activities
- Monitor and record vital signs and patient conditions accurately and promptly
- Support safe mobility and transfers while following proper body mechanics
- Communicate observations and changes to the nursing team to ensure excellent continuity of care
- Assist with meal service and feeding as needed, respecting resident preferences
- Maintain clean, safe patient environments and follow infection control practices
- Document care in a clear, timely manner to support patient records and care plans
Qualifications
- Current CNA certification (state-required) — demonstrate your formal training and credential
- CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Comfortable assisting with activities of daily living and patient mobility
- Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a caring team
- Ability to pass background checks and required health screenings
Education
- CNA certification completed
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient-centered care and compassionate bedside manner
- Basic clinical skills: vitals, transfers, ADL assistance
- Infection control and safe handling techniques
- Clear verbal and written communication for accurate charting
- Teamwork, time management, and adaptability in a busy care setting
