Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents as a Certified Nursing Assistant
- Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility
- Monitor residents' conditions and report changes promptly to the nursing team
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
- Document care provided accurately and timely in accordance with facility standards
- Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to support resident-centered care
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential (required)
- Comfortable working the 2:45 PM - 10:30 PM evening shift
- Compassion, patience, and strong communication skills with residents and families
- Ability to follow care plans, safety protocols, and documentation standards
- Previous experience in long-term care or similar settings is a plus but not required
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an approved CNA training program required
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of basic resident care and activities of daily living
- Ability to safely assist with mobility and transfers
- Basic observation and reporting skills for changes in resident status
- Teamwork, time management, and a respectful bedside manner
- Familiarity with standard infection control practices and safety procedures
