Roles & Responsibilities

• Train and support EHR and ancillary clinical system users across outpatient and inpatient settings using classroom, one-on-one, remote shadowing, and live video
• Configure, optimize, and maintain clinical content (labs, radiology, meds, immunizations, diagnosis/procedure codes)
• Develop clear, engaging training materials and deliver effective education to diverse clinical audiences
• Triage user issues, escalate appropriately, and coordinate resolutions with Help Desk, IT, and clinical leaders
• Continuously evaluate clinical content and decision support, recommending and implementing improvements based on best practices
• Align and standardize clinical processes across clinic sites to improve care and usability
• Collaborate with IT, vendor partners, and medical staff to support system changes and implementations
• Participate in occasional after-hours work to support go-lives, projects, and urgent technical issues

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license in Alaska or another U.S. state required (agency staff must hold an active Alaska license; direct hires must have applied for Alaska license before start)
• BSN preferred; advanced degree(s) may substitute for minimum experience on a year-by-year basis
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a medical setting (clinical experience preferred)
• Minimum 2 years of experience with clinical information systems (EHR experience required)
• Minimum 1 year of experience with computer technology (programming, report generation, installation, or working with computer/network hardware)
• Teaching or inpatient clinical experience preferred
• Experience with HL7 messaging and hospital/clinic accreditation processes is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• BSN preferred; advanced degree(s) may substitute for experience

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of Electronic Health Records and clinical applications support
• Clinical content configuration and clinical decision support systems
• Familiarity with scheduling, radiology, laboratory, and document scanning systems
• Understanding of medical standards of care in outpatient and inpatient settings
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
• Solid problem-solving, prioritization, and independent judgment abilities
• Ability to train diverse user audiences and develop clear educational materials
• Comfort working across multiple sites and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams
