Roles & Responsibilities

• Oversee and lead the radiology program to ensure high-quality patient imaging services
• Track incoming radiology studies to ensure proper submission, reporting, and follow-up
• Provide PACS training and troubleshooting support for appropriate staff
• Maintain and create radiology policies and procedures that meet regulatory standards
• Manage radiation protection and equipment inspection programs, including lead apron testing
• Coordinate equipment quotes and work with clinic administrators and medical directors on quality initiatives
• Collaborate with Finance to maintain the radiology chargemaster and identify opportunities to improve operations
• Supervise radiology staff, perform timely evaluations, and ensure ongoing competency and training

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology
• ARRT (Registered Radiological Technologist) required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Registered Mammographer preferred
• Registered Ultrasound Technologist preferred
• CT and MRI technologist experience preferred
• Minimum 5 years of experience in radiology management and supervision
• Minimum 5 years of experience working as a radiology technologist
• Clinical competency within 3 months of hire and every 3 years; manager competency within 3 months and every 3 years
• PACS training required

Education

• Graduate from an accredited School of Radiology

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with MQSA requirements and digitized imaging workflows
• Knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations relevant to radiology services
• Experience with radiology quality assurance and quality control practices
• Ability to supervise and evaluate staff effectively and build a strong team environment
• Comfort working in multiple computer systems and documenting medical information clearly
• Strong oral and written communication skills, and the ability to multi-task
• Experience with radiology equipment maintenance and radiation protection monitoring
