Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to adults and seniors in the assigned unit
• Assess patient condition, monitor vitals, and quickly escalate changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments accurately, following facility policies and safety protocols
• Document patient care and interventions clearly and promptly in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update individualized care plans
• Support patients and families with education, empathy, and clear communication
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and adhere to infection prevention standards

Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Maine (compact license holders should verify eligibility)
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum clinical experience as a Registered Nurse — travel nursing experience is a strong plus
• Ability to pass background check and drug screen as required by the facility
• Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in patient assessment, medication administration, and IV therapy
• Comfortable with electronic medical records (EMR) charting and documentation
• Knowledge of wound care, transfers, and mobility assistance
• Effective time management and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to build rapport with patients and families and provide clear education
