Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, high-quality telemetry nursing care to adult patients on a 36-bed med-surg telemetry unit
• Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry and respond appropriately to patient changes
• Document patient assessments and care accurately in Cerner Patient Observation (CPO)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Serve as a patient advocate, educating patients and families about their condition and care
• Maintain unit standards and participate in safety and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• Current RN (Registered Nurse) experience with at least 2 years clinical experience (per job posting)
• BLS certification (required)
• Experience in Medical Telemetry and remote telemetry monitoring (required)
• Familiarity with Cerner EMR and patient observation systems (CPO) is a plus
• CMSRN encouraged — candidates with this certification are strongly considered
• Leadership or charge nurse experience preferred; strong teamwork and communication skills

Education

• BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in medical telemetry monitoring and interpretation
• Proficient with Cerner electronic medical records and VC150 patient observation systems
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Comfortable using work stations on wheels and tap-and-go documentation workflows
• Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced med-surg environment and collaborate with a large staff
