Roles & Responsibilities
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises and treatment plans to improve mobility and daily function
- Monitor and record patient progress, ensuring clear updates for the supervising Occupational Therapist
- Collect patient medical history and personal information to support individualized care
- Teach patients, family members, and caregivers practical skills and techniques to support recovery at home
- Encourage and motivate patients through recovery to maximize independence and quality of life
- Maintain treatment rooms and equipment in safe, working order for effective therapy sessions
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered care that supports return-to-work and meaningful daily activities
- Document treatments and outcomes following APTA/clinic guidelines to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications
- COTA license - required
- Current CPR certification - required
- Missouri state license - required (Compact allowed)
- 2 years of OT experience - preferred
- LTC or Rehab experience - preferred
- Comfortable floating to Alpine as part of the assignment
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Knowledge & Skills
- Evidence-based practice and a desire to learn and improve clinical skills
- Accurate documentation following APTA and clinic guidelines
- Ability to develop and follow patient-centered treatment plans
- Hands-on skill with therapeutic and self-care activity instruction
- Competence in monitoring, recording, and communicating patient progress
- Good judgement in maintaining treatment room and equipment safety
