Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $42 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide individualized physical therapy care to inpatient and outpatient populations for conditions ranging from stroke to post-surgical recovery
- Perform gait training, balance and vestibular rehabilitation to help patients regain mobility and confidence
- Deliver post-surgical and orthopedic rehabilitation aimed at returning patients to their prior activity level
- Fabricate and fit temporary and permanent orthotics and splints to support healing and function
- Implement pelvic therapy techniques for incontinence rehabilitation when appropriate
- Provide lymphedema treatment and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for holistic care
- Use EPIC EMR to document patient evaluation, progress, and discharge planning accurately
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safety, and functional goals
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of PTA experience in a rehabilitation setting; new graduates will not be considered
- Current New Hampshire Physical Therapist Aide/Assistant license or Compact licensure (must be uploaded with profile)
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification
- Previous travel assignment experience is preferred
- Traveler must include permanent address in profile and have reliable personal transportation
- All requested time off during the assignment must be noted at submission; last-minute requests may not be approved
- One supervisory reference from within the past two years required
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (Associate degree or equivalent)
- Completion of clinical PTA training and relevant continuing education encouraged
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in gait training, balance and vestibular therapy
- Experience with splint and orthotic fabrication and fitting
- Familiarity with post-surgical and orthopedic rehab protocols
- Knowledge of pelvic therapy and lymphedema management techniques
- Competence in using EPIC electronic medical records
- Ability to perform functional capacity evaluations and clinical documentation
- Strong patient education, communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
