Shift Type: Rotating 24-hour schedule: 24 hours on / 24 hours on-call (10-minute response) / 96 hours off — rotates day & night; guaranteed 48 hours per week; weekend & holiday coverage as scheduled

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide professional, compassionate ALS-level care to patients across the lifespan in a pre-hospital/hospital 911 and interfacility transfer setting
- Perform and document thorough patient assessments and deliver individualized treatments per standing orders and medical director/state guidelines
- Administer medications using the five Patient Rights and titrate drips (nitroglycerin, heparin, IV fluids, vasopressors) as required
- Operate and utilize airway and respiratory equipment including CPAP, BiPAP, and ventilators when needed
- Supervise EMTs on-scene and during transfers, ensuring staff and bystander safety and coordinated care with ancillary departments
- Communicate patient status clearly at transfer of care and complete documentation in a timely manner
- Adjust workload and staffing communication as needed to maintain patient care standards during busy or changing situations
Qualifications
- Active Paramedic License (state-required) — must be current
- NREMT-P certification required
- Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NRP certifications
- Ability to provide ALS level of care and titrate drips per protocol
- Preferred: intubation experience
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience (per job details)
Education
- Active Paramedic License and NREMT-P certification (required)
- No BSN required
Knowledge & Skills
- Patient assessment and documentation skills that ensure accurate, timely charting
- Medication administration and drip titration experience
- Proficiency with airway management and respiratory support (CPAP, BiPAP, ventilators)
- Familiarity with trauma, chest pain, respiratory distress, falls, and abdominal pain presentations
- Strong supervision and communication skills for coordinating transfers and on-scene teams
- Comfort working in a fast-paced 911/interfacility transfer environment
