Shift Type: Days not specified, 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM NOC

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care and support to geriatric residents
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and toileting
Perform safe transfer and mobility assistance to reduce fall risk
Observe, document, and report resident condition changes to nursing staff
Support mealtime assistance and ensure comfortable dining experiences
Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
Collaborate with the care team to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

Active Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification (required)
High school diploma or GED preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric settings is a plus
Current immunizations and TB testing per facility policy
Ability to work night shifts and handle physical demands of care

Education

High school diploma or GED
GNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of geriatric care principles and dignity-focused support
Basic nursing assistant skills including ADL assistance and safe transfers
Strong observational skills and accurate documentation
Good communication and teamwork with nurses, residents, and families
Knowledge of infection control practices and resident safety
Comfort with electronic or paper-based charting systems
