Location: Brooklyn Pk, MD
Shift Type: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM (Evening shift; specific days not provided)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate daily care to residents, focusing on dignity and comfort
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting)
- Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and equipment
- Aid with mealtime assistance and feeding when needed
- Observe and report changes in residents’ condition to nursing staff promptly
- Accurately document care provided and resident observations in charts
- Maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to deliver person-centered care
Qualifications
- Current Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA) certification required
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or geriatrics is a plus
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations as required by facility
- Strong communication skills and a caring, patient-centered attitude
Education
- Completion of an accredited Geriatric Nursing Assistant program or equivalent
- High school diploma or GED preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of geriatric care principles and resident dignity
- Comfortable with ADLs, transfers, and basic mobility assistance
- Good observational skills to notice subtle changes in residents’ conditions
- Basic charting and documentation abilities
- Teamwork mindset and effective communication with residents and staff
- Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced situations
