Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide expert, patient-centered nursing care in the cardiac catheterization lab, supporting diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field and ensure all equipment and supplies are procedure-ready
• Closely monitor hemodynamics, ECGs and patient status before, during and after procedures
• Collaborate with cardiologists, techs and the multidisciplinary team to deliver smooth, efficient care
• Educate patients and families about procedures, recovery expectations and follow-up care
• Document patient care accurately and promptly to support quality, safety and regulatory compliance
• Participate in unit-based quality improvement and safety initiatives to improve outcomes

Qualifications

• Current unencumbered Oregon RN licensure required upon submission
• Healthcare Provider BLS required
• AHA ACLS required
• One year of experience or training in a Cath Lab/Angio hospital setting preferred
• Verification of high school diploma or equivalent required (CAP requirements)

Education

• Verification of high school diploma or equivalent required (per CAP)
• RN licensure (implies completion of an accredited nursing program such as ADN/BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity with cardiac cath lab procedures, angiography and interventional workflows
• Strong hemodynamic monitoring and ECG interpretation skills
• Aseptic technique and vascular access support
• Excellent patient assessment and crisis management under procedural conditions
• Clear, calm communication and teamwork in a fast-paced procedural environment
• Accurate clinical documentation and adherence to regulatory standards
