Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts: Day 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM and Night 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM; positions are 0.9 FTE (approximately 36 hours/week). Schedule varies by assignment, may include weekends and holidays; specific shift (day or night) will be assigned based on the position.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT and general X-ray exams while following department protocols and safety standards
• Position patients accurately and compassionately to ensure diagnostic image quality and patient comfort
• Start IVs when required for contrast-enhanced studies, maintaining aseptic technique and patient safety
• Operate and optimize GE CT equipment and utilize PACS/SECTRA for image management
• Document exams and patient interactions in EPIC with clear, timely charting
• Collaborate with radiologists and the clinical team to support efficient workflow and excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain equipment cleanliness, troubleshoot basic issues, and report any technical concerns promptly
• Provide exceptional customer service — calming patients, answering questions, and ensuring a positive imaging experience

Qualifications

• Washington state imaging license required at time of submittal
• ARRT (CT) and ARRT (R) certifications required
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of CT/radiology experience preferred
• Comfortable and experienced with IV insertion for contrast studies
• Familiarity with EPIC, SECTRA and PACS workflows
• Experience with GE imaging equipment preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills; trauma/acute care experience is a plus

Education

• Completion of an accredited radiologic technology or CT technologist program and ARRT certification (CT and R) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep working knowledge of CT imaging protocols and radiation safety
• Proficiency with EPIC charting and SECTRA/PACS image management
• Skilled at patient positioning, cross-sectional anatomy, and contrast administration
• Comfortable operating GE CT scanners and troubleshooting basic operational issues
• Excellent interpersonal skills for working with patients of all ages and clinical teams
• Ability to manage a steady daily scan volume (average ~20 studies/day) while maintaining quality
