Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition and prioritize care to ensure safety and positive outcomes
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document thoroughly
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient-centered plans
• Monitor and respond to changes in patient status with timely interventions
• Educate patients and families about care plans and discharge instructions
• Advocate for patients’ needs while maintaining compassionate, professional care
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and handoffs

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania or eligibility to obtain state licensure
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and other certifications preferred
• Clinical experience in acute care settings preferred
• Strong assessment, critical thinking and patient advocacy skills
• Ability to work independently as a travel/contract clinician and integrate quickly with new teams

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in patient assessment and clinical decision-making
• Medication administration and IV therapy knowledge
• Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities
• Patient safety, infection control and standard clinical protocols
