Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate daily care to residents and patients with dignity and respect
• Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, toileting, and mobility
• Take and record vital signs, reporting any changes promptly to nursing staff
• Support safe transfers and positioning to prevent falls and pressure injuries
• Document care accurately and timely in the facility charting system
• Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols

Qualifications

• Active CNA certification (Certified Nursing Assistant) required
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Comfortable with hands-on patient care and safe lifting techniques
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or acute care is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited CNA program
• Active CNA certification as required by state

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamental nursing care skills: bathing, feeding, toileting, ambulation
• Vital signs measurement and basic clinical observation
• Familiarity with infection prevention and sterile technique basics
• Accurate documentation and charting habits
• Effective communication with patients, families, and care teams
• Time management and prioritization in a fast-paced care setting
