Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT scans and imaging studies using GE Discovery equipment, ensuring accurate diagnostic images
• Operate and troubleshoot CT scanner equipment while following radiation safety protocols
• Position and prepare patients with care and clear communication, ensuring comfort and safety throughout procedures
• Review images for technical quality and collaborate with radiologists to ensure diagnostic accuracy
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in the Meditech EMR
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure equipment readiness for each shift
• Work independently and as part of a small CT team to provide 24-hour coverage and timely patient care
• Adhere to departmental policies, compliance standards, and Joint Commission requirements

Qualifications

• ARRT certification — required
• BLS (Basic Life Support) — required
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience (as listed in the posting)
• ACLS preferred but not required
• RT (T), ASRT, or FASRT credentials are a plus
• Comfortable working 12-hour night shifts and weekends; ability to work independently
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• Travel/contract assignment experience is a plus

Education

• ARRT certification (registered technologist in radiography/CT) — required
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic/Imaging Technology program or equivalent training

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of CT protocols, cross-sectional anatomy, and image acquisition
• Radiation safety principles and best practices
• Patient positioning and care for diagnostic imaging
• Experience with GE imaging systems (Discovery series) a plus
• Proficiency with Meditech or similar EMR systems
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and time-management skills
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, 12-hour shift environment
