Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist interventional radiologists and the clinical team by preparing patients and equipment for procedures
• Operate and maintain IR imaging equipment safely and accurately during procedures
• Monitor patient status during procedures and respond promptly to clinical needs
• Document procedure details and patient information in the electronic medical record (training provided on EPIC/Synapse/Startrack)
• Adhere to radiation safety, infection control, and sterile technique standards at all times
• Participate in on-call rotations, responding professionally and promptly to urgent cases
• Support quality improvement initiatives and perform routine equipment checks
• Collaborate with nursing, radiology techs, and physicians to ensure efficient patient flow and great patient experience

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification (required)
• Completion of Trinity Skills Checklist as part of onboarding
• License/certificate verification completed prior to start (state registry or applicable credential)
• Ability to pass required health screenings: Fit Test, Tdap, COVID-19 vaccine, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza vaccine, TB testing (2-step PPD or IGRA), Varicella, physical/health statement, and drug screen
• Comfort with on-call responsibilities, including every other weekend and rotating weekday call
• Strong communication and teamwork skills in a fast-paced procedural environment
• Willingness to learn hospital systems — EPIC, Synapse, Startrack training provided

Education

• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program or equivalent clinical training (preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent required

Knowledge & Skills

• Familiarity or willingness to learn EPIC, Synapse and Startrack electronic workflows
• Patient positioning and procedural assistance for interventional radiology
• Radiation safety principles and practical application in an IR suite
• Sterile technique and infection control best practices
• Critical thinking and situational awareness during procedures
• Accurate documentation and basic troubleshooting of imaging equipment
• Comfort responding to on-call clinical needs and urgent procedural cases
