Shift Type: Days not specified, 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM (Day shift)

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $19 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate personal care to geriatric residents, treating each person with dignity
Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, and mobility
Monitor resident condition and promptly report changes to nursing staff
Document care accurately and thoroughly to support continuity and quality
Support rehabilitation activities as directed by the care team
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver coordinated care
Maintain a safe, clean environment and follow infection control practices

Qualifications

Current GNA certification (required)
High school diploma or equivalent
Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred
Previous experience in geriatrics, long-term care, or rehab settings is a plus
Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Ability to perform physical tasks associated with resident care and safe transfers

Education

High school diploma or equivalent required
Completion of an accredited GNA training program and active GNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Knowledge of geriatrics and age-related care needs
Skilled in activities of daily living (ADL) support and safe resident handling
Familiarity with documentation practices and electronic charting
Understanding of infection control standards and patient safety
Teamwork, time management, and clear communication with residents and staff
