Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency nursing care: rapidly assess, triage, and stabilize patients in a fast-paced ED
• Implement advanced life support measures when needed and lead resuscitation efforts following ACLS/PALS protocols
• Document patient encounters accurately and efficiently in Epic to support continuity of care
• Collaborate closely with physicians, techs, and specialists to coordinate timely interventions
• Perform trauma-focused assessments and interventions in line with TNCC best practices
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and follow-up in a compassionate, clear way
• Participate in mandatory competency testing and skills validation to maintain clinical excellence

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse license (meeting employer verification requirements)
• Minimum emergency department nursing experience (as listed in the core skills)
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS and TNCC certifications required
• Successful completion of Trinity Specialty Specific Competency Testing and Trinity Skills Checklist
• Up-to-date occupational health requirements: fit test, 2-step PPD or IGRA, MMR, Hep B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19 and influenza vaccination as required
• Ability to pass Trinity 10-panel drug screen and license/certificate verification
• Please note: NO LOCAL contracts — candidates must be located 75+ miles from facility

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with Epic EHR for charting, orders, and handoffs
• Strong emergency assessment and triage skills including trauma and critical care priorities
• Competent in airway, circulatory, and ACLS/PALS protocols
• Excellent clinical judgment, multitasking, and prioritization under pressure
• Clear, calm communication with multidisciplinary teams and families
• Ability to follow structured competency testing and facility-specific workflows
