Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate hands-on nursing care to residents in accordance with care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Monitor and document vital signs, symptoms, and progress in clinical records
- Collaborate with CNAs, RNs, and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate resident care
- Assess resident needs and escalate changes in condition promptly
- Support residents' daily living activities while promoting dignity and independence
- Participate in shift handoffs and maintain clear, professional communication with families
Qualifications
- Current LPN license for New Mexico (required)
- Graduate of an accredited practical/vocational nursing program
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Comfortable working 12+ hour day shifts on the scheduled days (Sun, Fri, Sat)
- Strong clinical assessment, medication administration, and documentation skills
- Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented attitude
Education
- Graduate of an accredited Practical/Vocational Nursing program (LPN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Skilled in medication administration and basic treatments
- Proficient with vital sign monitoring and routine clinical assessments
- Accurate clinical documentation and charting practices
- Effective communication with residents, families, and care teams
- Ability to follow care plans and infection control protocols
- Basic wound care and mobility support experience
