Roles & Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately for each patient
- Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and report changes promptly
- Document care clearly and communicate with the interdisciplinary team
- Provide compassionate daily living support and promote patient dignity
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and care planning tasks
- Maintain infection control, safety protocols, and a tidy, organized workspace
Qualifications
- Active LPN license in Maine (or compact/reciprocal as applicable)
- Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass required background check and drug screening
- Comfortable working night shift hours and collaborating with a local team
- Experience in long-term care, rehab, or med-surg settings is a plus
Education
- Practical Nursing diploma, certificate, or equivalent (LPN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Medication administration and accurate documentation
- Patient assessment and basic clinical monitoring
- Wound care and routine procedures commonly found in long-term care
- Electronic health record charting and timely communication
- Infection control practices and safety awareness
- Strong teamwork, communication, and patient advocacy skills
