Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care as an LPN during the evening and overnight hours
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and document according to facility policy
- Monitor and record vital signs, observe changes in condition, and report concerns to the care team
- Collaborate with RNs, CNAs and interdisciplinary staff to support effective care plans
- Maintain clear, timely documentation and contribute to safe handoffs at shift change
- Support resident comfort, safety, and dignity while promoting independence when possible
- Follow infection control practices and facility procedures to ensure a safe environment
Qualifications
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (state licensure required)
- Experience working in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar is a plus
- Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
- Able to start locally within 2 weeks (LOCAL ONLY requirement)
- Reliable transportation to the Santa Fe facility and ability to work overnight shifts
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN/LVN program or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong medication administration and documentation skills
- Clinical assessment and basic wound care knowledge
- Good communication and teamwork skills with staff and residents
- Comfort with electronic charting or paper charting as used by the facility
- Time management and the ability to prioritize during overnight shifts
