Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy evaluations and individualized treatment plans for patients in a rehabilitation setting
• Deliver evidence-based interventions to improve patients' functional independence and quality of life
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes
• Document patient progress, goals, and discharge plans accurately and in a timely manner
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on home programs and adaptive strategies
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a supportive clinical environment

Qualifications

• Current state license as an Occupational Therapist (DE or compact/state appropriate) required
• Graduate degree in Occupational Therapy (Master's or entry-level OTD preferred)
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or obtain upon hire)
• Experience in inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient rehab, or skilled nursing preferred
• Strong clinical reasoning and excellent verbal/written communication skills
• Ability to pass background checks and meet facility onboarding requirements

Education

• Master of Occupational Therapy (MOT) or Doctorate of Occupational Therapy (OTD) preferred
• Bachelor's degree in a related field acceptable if followed by accredited OT graduate program

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL and IADL assessments and interventions
• Familiarity with adaptive equipment, orthotics, and durable medical equipment recommendations
• Experience with mobility training, transfer techniques, and safe equipment use
• Ability to develop functional treatment plans and measurable goals
• Competence in electronic medical records and professional documentation
• Strong time management, organization, and patient education skills
