Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients continuously using the nursing process to identify needs and changes in condition
• Develop and implement individualized care plans that reflect best practices in critical care
• Provide direct bedside care in the ICU, including hemodynamic monitoring and advanced assessments
• Communicate clearly and promptly with physicians and the interdisciplinary team about changes and critical findings
• Lead patient and family education, promoting understanding and engagement in care
• Respond quickly and accurately to emergent situations and changes in patient status
• Ensure documentation is accurate and complete while maintaining patient privacy and confidentiality
• Mentor and guide other nursing personnel to maintain high standards of care

Qualifications

• Current and valid state Registered Nurse (RN) license
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; CPI required
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a staff RN in an acute care hospital, preferably in critical care/ICU
• CCRN certification preferred
• COVID-19 vaccination/boosters preferred per facility policy
• Ability to complete required facility screenings and verifications (Nursys, drug screen, fit test, TB, immunizations)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong critical care and ICU nursing skills including hemodynamic monitoring
• Patient assessment, care planning, implementation, and evaluation
• Rhythm interpretation and familiarity with critical care telemetry
• Comfort with advanced monitoring equipment and interpreting diagnostic results
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills in high-acuity settings
• Patient and family teaching with an emphasis on safety and recovery
