Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality EEG recordings and neurodiagnostic testing with attention to patient comfort and safety
• Prepare patients for procedures including history intake, electrode placement and skin prep
• Monitor patients during testing and promptly escalate any concerns to the clinical team
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation of procedure details and findings in the medical record
• Maintain and troubleshoot EEG equipment, ensuring calibration and cleanliness
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols and site-specific policies
• Participate in competency exams and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care

Qualifications

• Current EEG technologist training or equivalent neurodiagnostic education
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• DCI/BVP certification required (as listed)
• Successful License/Certificate Verification and ability to provide documentation
• Willingness and ability to complete required health screenings and immunizations (COVID-19, MMR, Hep B, TB tests, influenza, Tdap, varicella, fit test and drug screening)
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Per diem / travel-ready mindset with flexibility for variable assignments

Knowledge & Skills

• Solid knowledge of EEG procedures, electrode placement and montage selection
• Competence with neurodiagnostic equipment setup, troubleshooting and care
• Accurate clinical documentation and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Infection control practices and patient safety protocols
• Good communication skills for patient interaction and interdisciplinary teamwork
• Comfort completing competency checklists and specialty exams
