Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, respectful personal care to residents, including bathing, dressing, and toileting
• Assist with daily living activities to promote resident independence and dignity
• Measure and record vital signs and report changes in condition to nursing staff
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of care given and resident observations
• Collaborate with the care team to create and follow individualized care plans
• Follow infection control procedures and facility policies to keep residents safe
• Support positive resident experiences by engaging in friendly conversation and activities

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New York required
• High school diploma or GED preferred
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Successful completion of background checks and required health screenings
• Comfortable working in long-term care or skilled nursing settings; prior experience is a plus
• Reliable, compassionate, and able to communicate effectively with residents and team members

Education

• Completion of a state-approved CNA program or equivalent
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in assisting with activities of daily living and basic patient care
• Knowledge of safe transfer and ambulation techniques
• Familiarity with vital signs measurement and documentation
• Understanding of infection control and resident safety practices
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary care team
