Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients' functional abilities and develop individualized occupational therapy plans
• Implement therapeutic interventions to improve daily living, mobility, and independence
• Collaborate with nurses, PTs, SLPs, and the care team to coordinate holistic patient care
• Document progress clearly and timely to support treatment decisions and continuity of care
• Educate patients and families on adaptive strategies, home programs, and assistive devices
• Adjust treatment plans based on outcomes, physician input, and patient goals

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in California, or eligible to obtain state licensure
• Current BLS/CPR certification (or able to obtain prior to start)
• Comfortable working in an inpatient rehabilitation/contract facility setting
• Strong clinical assessment and documentation skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills — you’ll be part of a multi-disciplinary crew

Education

• Entry-level degree in Occupational Therapy (BS/OT, MS/OT, or OTD) as required for licensure

Knowledge & Skills

• Skilled in ADL/IADL training and adaptive equipment prescription
• Knowledge of therapeutic modalities and evidence-based OT interventions
• Proficient with electronic medical records and timely documentation
• Ability to set measurable goals and track patient progress
• Strong problem-solving skills and a patient-centered approach
