Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered care and assist with activities of daily living
• Assist nursing staff with safe transfers, ambulation and positioning
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in patient condition
• Perform timely and accurate documentation using facility forms and checklists
• Adhere to infection control, safety protocols, and facility policies
• Complete required skills checklist (Trinity Skills Checklist) and participate in competency validation
• Communicate clearly and respectfully with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members
• Maintain professional appearance, certifications, and required health screenings

Qualifications

• Current CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant) certification in good standing
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Successful completion of Trinity Skills Checklist and license/certificate verification
• Ability to pass required health screenings: fit test, respirator evaluation, Trinity 10-panel drug screen
• Up-to-date immunizations or verification: MMR, Hepatitis B, Varicella, Tdap, COVID-19, Influenza, and 2-step PPD or IGRA (Quantiferon)
• Physical/health statement demonstrating ability to perform job duties
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently in a per diem pool

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient care and bedside skills, including ADLs and hygiene assistance
• Basic clinical skills: vital signs, specimen collection support, documentation
• Infection prevention and proper PPE use (including respirator competence)
• Good communication, teamwork, and ability to follow care plans
• Time management and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced setting
• Comfortable working with diverse patient populations and clinical units
