Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform high-quality CT scans for ER patients and inpatients using the Philips Brilliance 64 CT
- Administer IV contrast safely and accurately following NYS injection protocols
- Assess patients prior to imaging and monitor during procedures to ensure safety and comfort
- Document imaging and patient care thoroughly in Epic (EMR) and archive images in PACS (Synapse)
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and ED staff to prioritize and expedite urgent studies
- Maintain equipment readiness and follow radiation safety and infection control practices
- Participate in Trinity specialty competency testing and skills checklists to maintain excellence
Qualifications
- ARRT certification (required)
- New York State license with injection privileges (required)
- Current BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience
- Hands-on experience with Philips Brilliance 64 CT
- Proficiency with Epic (EMR) and PACS (Synapse) workflow
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced emergency and inpatient environment
Education
- Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program or equivalent
- ARRT certification and NYS licensure (as listed under qualifications)

- CT scanning techniques and protocols
- Contrast administration and monitoring for adverse reactions
- PACS image management and Epic documentation workflow
- Patient assessment, positioning, and communication
- Radiation safety and infection control best practices
- Prioritizing studies in a high-acuity ED/inpatient setting
