Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on inpatient newborn care and lead daily newborn rounds in the Level I nursery
• Attend deliveries when requested and perform newborn stabilization at birth
• Stabilize and coordinate transfer/transport of newborns needing higher-level NICU care
• Collaborate closely with the sister Level III NICU team and neonatologists to ensure continuity of care
• Serve in a clinical leadership role within the Belmont nursery team to support quality and workflow
• Document clinical care thoroughly and participate in unit-based safety and quality initiatives

Qualifications

• NNP Board Certified (must be NNP — FNP, PNP or other NP certifications are not accepted)
• Minimum 2+ years of employment experience as an NNP (RN experience does not count toward this requirement)
• Not accepting new graduate or locum candidates — experienced, committed NNPs only
• Demonstrated ability to attend deliveries, stabilize newborns, and coordinate transports

Knowledge & Skills

• Well-versed in neonatology and Level I nursery care
• Skilled in newborn stabilization, resuscitation and transport coordination
• Experience with daily inpatient newborn rounding and collaborating with NICU teams
• Strong clinical judgment, clear communication with multidisciplinary teams, and leadership presence
• Comfortable working 24-hour shift blocks and providing on-call coverage from home
