Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide expert, compassionate care for critically ill neonates in a high-acuity Level IV NICU
- Collaborate closely with Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Obstetric Hospitalists, and pediatric subspecialists to coordinate complex care
- Lead and participate in maternal and neonatal transport efforts to ensure safe transfers
- Deliver specialized therapies including whole-body cooling and inhaled nitric oxide (iNO) when clinically indicated
- Support family-centered care and provide palliative care conversations with empathy and clarity
- Engage in telemedicine to expand access and continuity of neonatal care
- Drive continuous quality improvement (CQI) initiatives to elevate clinical outcomes
- Contribute to academic programs—teach, mentor, and collaborate with residency and fellowship teams
Qualifications
- Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE) in Neonatology
- Completed neonatology fellowship (providers currently in fellowship are not eligible)
- Experience working in a Regional Level IV NICU and comfort with high-volume, high-acuity care
- Proven experience or comfort with neonatal transport, whole-body cooling, iNO, palliative care, and telemedicine
- Demonstrated participation in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) activities
- Academic or teaching experience preferred—engage with integrated residency and fellowship programs
- Must reside within the immediate local area (local residency required) and be authorized to work in the U.S. (visa candidates not accepted)

Education
- MD or DO degree
- Completed pediatric residency and neonatology fellowship
Knowledge & Skills
- Deep knowledge of neonatal intensive care principles and advanced neonatal therapies
- Skill in neonatal transport logistics and safe patient transfer practices
- Comfort with telemedicine technology and remote clinical workflows
- Ability to collaborate across interdisciplinary teams including pediatric subspecialties and maternal-fetal medicine
- Familiarity with quality improvement methodologies and data-driven practice change
- Strong communication skills for family-centered care and academic teaching
