Shift Type: Daytime PRN schedule — half-day (4-hour) or full-day (8-hour) shifts; days-per-week vary by site (examples: 1–4 days/week depending on location). Start/end times vary by clinic and will be scheduled locally (day shifts only).

Roles & Responsibilities
- Perform non-treatment Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams and Separation Health Assessments with professionalism and compassion
- Conduct interview-based clinical evaluations and targeted physical assessments (range of motion, muscle strength testing)
- Complete thorough, timely reports including addendums and medical opinions when required
- Read and interpret diagnostic information to inform objective exam findings
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow VES protocols for one-time evaluations
- Communicate clearly and respectfully with Veterans and the VES administrative team
- Participate in required training and onboarding to meet program standards
Qualifications
- MD or DO (or equivalent physician qualification) with an active, unrestricted state medical license in the state(s) where you will practice
- Clinical background in Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Orthopedic Surgery, or general medicine
- Experience or familiarity with Compensation & Pension (C&P) exams or separation health assessments preferred
- Comfort performing interview-based assessments and focused physical exams (range of motion and muscle strength testing)
- Ability to complete clear written medical opinions, addendums, and required documentation in a timely manner
- For provider-owned office option: an operational office within 50 miles of the listed city and ability to see Veterans in-office
Education
- MD or DO (or equivalent physician degree)
- Active state medical license required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong interview and clinical assessment skills for non-treatment evaluations
- Proficiency in range of motion and muscle strength testing techniques
- Skilled report writing: clear, objective medical opinions and addendums
- Ability to interpret basic diagnostics and incorporate findings into exam reports
- Familiarity with non-prescriptive, evaluation-only clinical encounters
- Comfort with streamlined onboarding and adherence to government contractor processes
