Shift Type: 4 days/week (days vary), 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM, Day shift, plus on-call rotation
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $63 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality perioperative patient care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation
- Circulate in the Operating Room across multiple specialty areas (Orthopedics, ENT, GYN/OB, General, Ophthalmology, Dental)
- Prepare and respond quickly for emergency cases, including on-call activation at short notice
- Assist with scrubbing when indicated and support the surgical team to ensure safe, efficient procedures
- Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care, perioperative assessments and patient outcomes
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists and multidisciplinary team members to optimize patient care
- Adhere to infection control, safety protocols and JCAHO standards in all perioperative activities
- Participate in continuing education and complete required certifications within specified timeframes
Qualifications
- Current, full, unrestricted RN license from any U.S. state, territory, or Puerto Rico
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (see education section for details)
- Minimum two (2) years clinical and/or Operating Room experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) — American Heart Association
- Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) — American Heart Association
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) — to be obtained within six (6) months of hire
- NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) — to be completed within six (6) months of hire
- Certified Perioperative Nurse (CNOR) — to be completed within one (1) year of hire
- Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) — to be completed within two (2) years of hire
- Willingness to work varied hours and participate in on-call rotations
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing
- OR
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Knowledge & Skills
- Perioperative nursing principles and operating room circulation
- Scrubbing and sterile technique experience (encouraged and supported)
- Assessment, care planning and evaluation of perioperative patients
- Familiarity with Orthopedics, ENT, GYN/OB, General Surgery, Ophthalmology and Dental procedures
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Strong communication and teamwork skills in a multidisciplinary environment
- Understanding of JCAHO standards, infection control and patient safety practices
- Comfort working in a culturally diverse community and serving Native American populations
