Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality diagnostic imaging services using X-ray, fluoroscopy, C-arm and CT to support accurate patient diagnosis
• Follow imaging department protocols and consult with radiologists when needed to ensure appropriate exams
• Practice strict radiation safety (ALARA) and infection control to protect patients and staff
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment per manufacturer recommendations and troubleshoot issues, calling service engineers when necessary
• Verify orders, confirm patient identity with two identifiers, obtain informed consent, and educate patients about procedures
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in the EHR, including procedure charging and prior study collection
• Assist with clerical duties, phone reception, and patient transport when required to ensure smooth clinic operations
• Train and cross-train imaging staff, contribute to continuous quality improvement, and participate in required education and meetings
• Order, stock, and maintain supply inventory to keep the department running efficiently
• Demonstrate professional communication and uphold patient confidentiality and organizational values

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program (required)
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) (required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 90 days of hire (required)
• Must be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
• Successful background check, pre-employment drug screen, and Employee Health meeting prior to start
• Prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist preferred
• Cross-training in CT, MRI, DEXA, or Mammography is a plus
• Experience with PACS, RIS/HIS, and electronic health records is preferred

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong image acquisition and radiographic procedure skills
• Fluoroscopy and C-arm operation experience
• Familiarity with PACS, RIS/HIS and EHR systems
• Solid understanding of radiation safety principles (ALARA)
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment and coordinate maintenance
• Excellent patient communication, education, and consent skills
• Good documentation practices and charging for procedures
• Infection control and patient safety awareness
• Flexibility to assist across modalities and adapt schedules
