Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, 3 shifts/week (rotating days including weekends and holidays); Night shift with an on-call requirement of 2 shifts/month
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, expert end-of-life nursing care to patients in an inpatient hospice setting
- Perform thorough patient assessments and develop individualized symptom management plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely while monitoring patient responses
- Educate and coach families and caregivers to build confidence in care at the bedside
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to ensure holistic physical, emotional and spiritual support
- Document patient care accurately in the medical record and communicate changes clearly
- Participate in on-call rotation and respond promptly to urgent clinical needs
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) — appropriate active licensure expected for practice
- Minimum of 2 years acute care experience (medical/surgical, ICU, ER or similar) — hospice experience preferred
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented approach
- Comfort with end-of-life care, symptom management, and family-centered support
- Willingness to work night shifts, weekends, holidays and participate in on-call rotation
Knowledge & Skills
- Expertise in patient assessment and critical thinking for complex symptom management
- Skilled in end-of-life care and compassionate family support
- Clear, empathetic communication with patients, families and team members
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary hospice team
- Familiarity with medication administration, pain and symptom protocols, and basic charting
