Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality mammography exams following department protocols and radiologist guidance
• Provide clear patient education and compassionate care throughout imaging procedures
• Maintain daily quality assurance, preventative maintenance schedules, and accurate EHR documentation
• Ensure compliance with FDA regulations and maintain accreditation records
• Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment, calling service engineers when needed
• Maintain structured reporting for audits, statistics, and workflow resolution
• Collaborate with the team to suggest and implement process and quality improvements
• Assist with cross-training, clerical tasks, patient transport, and other clinic needs as required

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) and Mammography (M) (required)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and pass background/drug screens
• Preferred: Two (2) years prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist with CT and MRI exposure
• Preferred: Cross-training in CT, MRI, and DEXA and familiarity with PACS and RIS/HIS

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program

Knowledge & Skills

• Advanced knowledge of mammography imaging procedures and breast imaging best practices
• Strong understanding of FDA mammography guidelines and ALARA radiation safety principles
• Proficiency with EHR documentation, PACS, RIS/HIS systems and charge capture
• Equipment operation and preventative maintenance skills, plus basic troubleshooting
• Excellent patient-identification, informed consent, and patient-history review practices
• Clear verbal and written communication, teamwork, and a commitment to confidentiality
