Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide professional nursing care and make sound clinical judgments to keep patients safe and comfortable
- Perform thorough patient assessments and document findings accurately
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to protocol
- Assist providers with diagnostic and treatment procedures in the pulmonary clinic
- Deliver clear, compassionate patient and family education to support self-care
- Coordinate care with the healthcare team to ensure smooth patient transitions
- Respond calmly and effectively in emergency situations
- Use clinical knowledge to identify problems, prioritize care, and recommend practical solutions
Qualifications
- Active Pennsylvania Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association Healthcare Provider (current)
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- One year of nursing experience preferred
- Ability to perform physical demands of the role, including lifting and prolonged standing
- Strong communication, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

- Patient care and clinical assessment
- Medication administration and treatment procedures
- Diagnostic and treatment procedure support
- Patient education and family engagement
- Familiarity with ICD-10 and CPT coding basics
- Medical terminology and office procedures
- Use of examination and treatment equipment
- Emergency response and calm decision-making
- Effective documentation and teamwork
