Shift Type: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM Day, plus on-call coverage (approximately one overnight per week and approximately one weekend every 5 weeks)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality perioperative nursing care for surgical patients
• Prepare and maintain a sterile field, surgical instruments and equipment
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists and the perioperative team
• Respond to on-call emergent needs, including overnight coverage when scheduled
• Document patient care accurately and timely in the medical record
• Support patient and family education before and after procedures
• Float to other qualified departments as needed, taking a patient load or performing task-oriented support

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure (Arizona or compact where applicable)
• Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Operating Room nursing
• Must have Circular experience in the specialty being applied for
• American Heart Association BLS, ACLS and PALS certifications required
• Ability to work scheduled on-call shifts, including occasional overnights and rare weekends
• Comfortable floating to other departments and taking a patient load when qualified

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical instrumentation
• Proficient patient assessment and perioperative monitoring skills
• Effective communication and teamwork in high-pressure environments
• Accurate documentation and familiarity with electronic health records
• Time management, situational awareness and ability to prioritize during cases
