Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM (Days); exact days vary by schedule and may include weekends

Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate psychiatric nursing care to children and adolescents in the behavioral health setting
- Conduct thorough assessments and collaborate on individualized treatment plans
- Administer medications safely and monitor patients for therapeutic response and side effects
- Support de-escalation and crisis intervention using evidence-based behavioral techniques
- Communicate clearly with families, multidisciplinary teams, and community partners
- Serve as a resource on the unit when floating or filling charge nurse responsibilities
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to OKDHS fingerprinting/background check requirements
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (able to work in Oklahoma or compact-eligible)
- Experience or interest in pediatric psychiatric/behavioral health nursing; 12-hour shift experience preferred
- Must be 21 years of age or older to apply (per client requirement)
- Ability and willingness to float between units and assume charge duties when needed
- Successful completion of OKDHS fingerprinting background check prior to start
- Current BLS certification (or willingness to obtain promptly)
Education
- Completion of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
- BSN preferred but ADNs with behavioral health experience are encouraged to apply
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of child and adolescent psychiatric care and behavioral health interventions
- Strong therapeutic communication and crisis intervention skills
- Safe medication administration and monitoring practices
- Ability to work collaboratively with interdisciplinary treatment teams
- Flexibility and resilience in a fast-paced, variable-ratio staffing environment
