Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepare operating rooms and surgical instruments with meticulous attention to sterile technique
• Assist surgical teams during procedures by anticipating needs and passing instruments efficiently
• Verify and maintain surgical counts, documentation, and instrument tracking
• Ensure patient safety through strict adherence to infection control and facility protocols
• Collaborate with nurses, surgeons, and anesthesia providers to facilitate smooth case flow
• Participate in turnover and room setup to optimize OR efficiency and case throughput

Qualifications

• Current Surgical Technologist certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Current TB clearance required
• Ability to work Monday-Friday day shifts and participate in shared call rotation
• Professional, team-oriented attitude with strong communication skills

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of sterile technique and OR aseptic practices
• Proficient with surgical instruments, equipment setup, and case preparation
• Familiarity with surgical counts, specimen handling, and documentation
• Ability to anticipate surgical team needs and act proactively under pressure
• Attention to detail, patient safety focus, and reliable time management
