Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT procedures with accuracy and attention to patient safety
• Operate and select imaging equipment and capture high-quality images for physician interpretation
• Position patients compassionately to best demonstrate the anatomic area of interest
• Prepare and administer contrast media and establish/maintain IV access when required
• Corroborate and document patient clinical history to support diagnostic decision-making
• Initiate basic life support when necessary and follow established safety protocols
• Provide patient education to reduce anxiety and improve cooperation during procedures
• Assist with radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical, and portable exams if assigned
• Contribute to supply and equipment decisions and help maintain inventory control
• Provide practical instruction and mentorship to students and new partners

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
• ARRT Radiography registration required
• ARRT Computed Tomography registration required
• IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation required
• Approved CPR or BLS certification required
• Willingness to participate in on-call and holiday rotations and occasional overtime

Education

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program

Knowledge & Skills

• Computed Tomography (CT) image acquisition and processing
• Radiography and fluoroscopy techniques, including portable and surgical imaging
• Patient positioning and immobilization best practices
• Contrast administration and intravenous (IV) access skills
• Radiation safety principles and adherence to universal protocol
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) and emergency response
• Aseptic technique and infection control
• Inventory management and equipment selection
• Patient education and effective communication
• Teaching and precepting experience
