Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT procedures with precision and care to produce high-quality images for physician interpretation
• Prepare and position patients, providing clear instructions to reduce anxiety and improve exam results
• Administer and manage contrast media and maintain IV access as appropriate for procedures
• Operate imaging equipment and image capture devices, ensuring proper selection of protocols and accessories
• Support radiographic, fluoroscopic, surgical and portable exams when assigned
• Practice aseptic technique and initiate basic life support actions when necessary to protect patient safety
• Document clinical history and procedure details accurately for radiologist review
• Contribute to inventory and supply decisions and help maintain equipment readiness
• Provide practical instruction and mentorship to students and partners, fostering a learning environment
• Follow universal protocol, standard precautions and patient identification procedures at all times

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program
• Minimum 2 years of CT experience
• ARRT Radiography registration (required)
• ARRT Computed Tomography registration (required)
• IEMA-DNS radiography accreditation (required)
• Approved CPR or BLS certification (required)
• Comfort with night shifts, weekend rotations, and on-call responsibilities

Education

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program

Knowledge & Skills

• CT procedures and image acquisition best practices
• Patient preparation and positioning with empathy and efficiency
• Contrast media administration and IV access/IV starts
• Radiography, fluoroscopy, surgical and portable imaging fundamentals
• Aseptic technique and infection control
• Basic life support (BLS/CPR) and patient safety protocols
• Inventory/supply control and equipment awareness
• Clear patient education and communication skills
