Shift Type: Various rotating day shifts. Examples include: 5 days/week — 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (five 8-hour shifts); 4 days/week — 8:00 AM - 6:30 PM (four 10-hour shifts); 3 days/week — 8:00 AM - 8:30 PM or 9:00 AM - 9:30 PM (three 12-hour shifts). Schedule is rotating and may include occasional weekends, holiday rotation, and on-call coverage.

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $70 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform MRI procedures and advanced imaging techniques to produce diagnostic images for physician interpretation
• Prepare and position patients for exams, using effective communication to reduce anxiety and obtain quality images
• Select and operate MRI systems, coils, and physiologic gating devices to achieve optimal results
• Choose appropriate pulse sequences and manipulate image data for accurate diagnostic review
• Perform venipuncture, start and maintain venous access, and prepare/administer contrast media safely
• Apply magnetic resonance safety principles and aseptic technique to protect patients and staff
• Use radiology information systems and PACS to archive, identify, and submit images for interpretation
• Assist physicians with interventional procedures and provide hands-on instruction to students and partners
• Initiate basic life support when necessary and participate in on-call and holiday rotations

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program
• ARRT Radiography registration required
• ARRT MRI registration required
• Approved CPR or BLS certification required
• Experience as an MRI Technologist (experience level not specifically defined in posting)
• Comfort with rotating shifts, occasional weekends, holiday coverage, and on-call duties

• Graduate of an accredited radiography program

• Patient positioning and immobilization for high-quality diagnostic images
