Roles & Responsibilities

• Administer IV medications and infusion therapies safely and compassionately while closely monitoring patient responses
• Perform port accesses and manage IV therapy procedures with precision
• Coordinate scheduling, clinical order review, and prior authorizations to keep clinic flow smooth
• Document thoroughly and promptly in the electronic health record, including medication and transfusion logs
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, ensuring understanding and comfort
• Communicate effectively with providers, payers, and multidisciplinary care teams to support continuity of care
• Contribute to operational workflows and quality improvement efforts to enhance the patient experience

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved RN school of nursing
• BSN required
• Minimum of 2 years RN experience required
• Acute care experience (1 year) preferred
• Current Vermont or multi-state compact RN license
• Current BLS from the American Heart Association
• Infusion and port access experience required
• CRNI certification preferred
• FLU shot required for credentialing

Education

• Graduate of an accredited RN program
• BSN (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Infusion therapy and IV medication administration expertise
• Port access and maintenance skills
• Strong electronic health record documentation abilities
• Knowledge of transfusion documentation and medication safety
• Experience with scheduling, prior authorizations, and payer communications
• Excellent patient education and bedside communication skills
• Detail-oriented with strong clinical assessment and monitoring abilities
• Compassionate care approach and teamwork mindset
