Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality CT scans and fluoroscopic procedures while prioritizing patient safety and comfort
• Operate and troubleshoot GE and other CT scanners to produce diagnostically useful images
• Collaborate with radiologists, trauma teams, and nursing staff in a Level II trauma environment
• Document procedures and patient information accurately in EPIC EMR
• Maintain radiation safety standards, equipment quality control, and regulatory compliance
• Provide clear patient instructions and deliver compassionate care to reduce anxiety and improve outcomes
• Support weekend and variable-shift coverage to ensure continuous imaging services

Qualifications

• Current full Certificate of Radiologic Technology issued by the California Department of Health Services (CRT) — required
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registration — required
• Valid Fluoroscopy permit — required
• Current CPR certification — required
• Minimum of 2 years of CT scanning experience; Level II trauma experience a plus
• Prior successful completion of traveler assignments and comfort working as a contract technologist
• Experience with EPIC EMR — required
• Experience with GE CT scanners preferred

Education

• Current California Certificate of Radiologic Technology (CRT)
• ARRT registration (certification)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong CT imaging protocol knowledge and cross-sectional anatomy
• Fluoroscopy technique and safety practices
• Radiation safety and patient protection principles
• Proficiency with EPIC electronic medical record documentation
• Familiarity with GE scanner operation and basic troubleshooting
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced trauma environment and on weekends
